VHP Demands Thorough Investigation

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has urged the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to conduct an extensive inquiry into contentious matters linked to a prominent religious site in South Kanara.

According to the VHP, this situation is a conspiracy aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Karnataka temple. In a statement, VHP Secretary Sharan Pampavel expressed that vested interests are attempting to undermine the temple's spiritual and cultural image through orchestrated misinformation, allegedly disseminated via social media using artificially generated visuals and videos.

He further noted that reports suggest millions of rupees have been spent on these campaigns, purportedly backed by foreign funding. The statement highlighted that international media organizations criticizing India have exaggerated these narratives, portraying the temple in a negative light.

The VHP claims that local intelligence indicates that organizations linked to the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) and the political group Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) have supported the alleged campaign against the temple. The VHP has accused foreign connections of indirectly endorsing activities that violate Indian laws.
